Where the homestead exemption money comes from
An exemption doesn't lower the town's bills. It removes part of the grand list, and the same levy gets re-spread over what's left. This model shows who picks up the difference in East Windsor and in Enfield.
How to read these
A model is not a forecast. Each one takes published figures, applies a stated method, and shows what follows. Where a number has not been published, an estimate is used and labelled est. with a note explaining where it came from. The sources page lists every figure the site uses.
